PK24 Style Lounge Chair

Perhaps the most recognizable chair in Poul Kjærholm’s work, inspiration for this chair comes from the Rococo period and the French chaise lounge that featured the same curve and size.

The body and the frame of the PK24 chair are held in place only by gravity and the friction of these elements, and not by any physical connection, hence its other name, the 'Hammock Chair'.

Included in the permanent collections of the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Vitra Design Museum, Poul Kjarholm’s PK 24 Chaise Lounge is an icon of Modernist design and arguably the designer’s most well-known work.
